Myself, my mom and my sister  are usually eating when we see each other. Food plays a very central role in Filipino social gatherings, especially with family. Actually one of the first things a mother would say in a Filipino household upon seeing you for the first time during the day is “have you eaten?”. So, I salute all moms, and especially my mom today for being a mom. I turned out fine and my life is great – and I wouldn’t have made it without you, so thank you!

My friend, Royce hosted a party at his beautiful new garden. We played ping pong, listened to music and enjoyed the beautiful tulips he planted for spring.  They were so vivid and ripe, almost good enough to eat…

My better half sent me this animal totem link last night.  It gives a brief summary of animals and the spiritual significance of what they mean when they appear to you.  Lately, I’ve been seeing lots of rabbits.  Here’s what the animal totem dictionary says about rabbits:

Movement in life, fertility, sensitive, artistic, plan for possibilities, check what is in motion now, move carefully in work or play, allows for taking advantage of brief chances available. Is it time to observe and watch or time to make leaps? Rabbit can teach you how to plan and helps in setting them in motion. How are your eating habits? Perhaps you need to increase your vegetable intake? Rabbit is a joy so enjoy the movement at this time.
