Life is Simple

Lately, I have been present to the fact that I make things more complicated than they really are. I know exactly why I do this. It's because I have it in my head that if I really work on something that is difficult, I believe that the end result is worth while. That's how I've been for most of my life. I always complicate things so that I can say "wow, I really made it through that one", when in fact, there could have been a simpler solution. And I always refuse the simpler solution because I have it in my mind that a solution that simple could not come so fast and easily as it does. Does this sound familiar to any of you readers out there? Do you make your life more complicated that it really is? I just had this thought right now and thought I would share it with you. I was sitting in front of my computer killing myself trying to figure out the functionality of a client's website and then just realized that it's not that complicated, looking over the grand scheme of how I work as a web designer. Anyway, moral of the story is, don't complicate things and move on.

Thanks for the birthday messages

Wow, I have received so many wonderful birthday greetings from such great people. I am so grateful for having such amazing friends and family. You guys are the best. I am currently working on my birthday list of "to dos" and will post some of the items on my list shortly on this blog. One major birthday "to do" item is that two years from now, on October 8th, 2008, I will have completed my first feature film. Talk about aiming high! I will take nothing less. Although I am recovering from a bit of a hangover from last night's festivities, I feel like a million bucks.

Right now I would like to share with you a great video about the laws of attraction. Check this website out:

www.thesecret.tv

It truly is amazing and is well worth the $4.95 that you must pay to view it online. Heck, buy the DVD while you're at it. There are so many things that you can waste your money on, so you might as well purchase "The Secret" video. Just look at it as an investment for yourself. Cheers guys!

I love Autumn

Mr. Automatic

This is Bill a/k/a Mr. Automatic at Modern Love - The Make Out Sessions, an awesome night that I deejayed for this past week at Celebrity in Chicago.

Gosh, I've done so much over the last couple of weeks. I deejayed for Puma at Nortdstrom for their Glam Event, met some awesome people at Celebrity, Rodan, and Betty's Blue Star Lounge during Sadie's Bon Voyage to France, and donated some of my t-shirts and CDs during the Pilsen Open Studios for Sadie's Bon Voyage.

Speaking of Pilsen Open Studios, check the pictures that I took here. I saw some really great art work in Pilsen last weekend. Here are some of the artists who you should be checking out:

Diane Carriere

The last two artists I saw (Amir Normandi and Diane Carriere) were part of an exhibit at d'Last Studios and Gallery entitled "Desire No Shackles", which is part of Chicago Artists' Month 2006.

Also, I was in Colorado in September, and I visited the coolest gallery in Boulder. If you are ever in Boulder, Colorado, you must check out:

The exhibit that I saw was entitled "Alliance", and it featured works by
