The Columbia College Interactive Multimedia website went live yesterday, September 23. I am actually quite pleased with how it looks and the way it is structured. I worked with a very great team. I've noticed that projects involving only a small handful of people always run smoother compared to projects with too many cooks in the kitchen. I am glad I had the opportunity to be part of the team.

I went to an Obervance today at the Daley Center in Chicago. It was very touching. It was a beautiful and somber day. We are a nation that forgets easily. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. Today, a friend of mine told me that he wishes the events from a year ago weren't so prominent in the media on this particular day. He said that it makes him sad to be reminded. On the contrary, I think that we should all be reminded. We should be reminded that life can be extinguished in a heartbeat. We should be reminded to be more compassionate and understanding. We should be reminded to stand firmly behind what we believe in. But most of all, we should be reminded to cherish each day as if it were our last.

Gosh! I can't believe it's already September! I was filling out a form this past Saturday and I asked some guy what the date was. He replied, "September 1st". My mouth dropped. I was in complete and utter shock that it was September. It's scary how seasons creep up on you. I was in denial that it was truly the end of summer. Boohoo. Although the autumn by far is my favorite season, it is still sad to see an end to summer.

I just saw "Vanilla Sky" on DVD. I really dug it. I got mixed reviews from different friends of mine. The consensus told me that it was a "strange" movie. I got the same review about "AI". Well, "Vanilla Sky" was strange, but it was my kind of strange. Visually, it was beautiful. I like Cameron Crowe's style of story telling. I think he is a great director. And I actually liked the script. It had a very bizzare turn of events. I like movies like that. It actually suprised me. I give it four stars.

I finally went to Wisconsin Dells yesterday. I spent the entire day at Noah's Ark. It was tons of fun. Water parks are such a great concept. The Dells are like something out of a strange movie. The entire town looks like a movie set. It's total kitch city. Wish I had my camera. The entire day was strange period. I think it was just the experience of driving from a big city into the middle of Cheeseland.
